Role Overview

The Identity platform and services are evolving to enable a strategic shift from a single product to a multi-product ecosystem. In this role, you will re-architect Identity systems to support this transition, contributing to large-scale distributed systems design, API design, phased data migrations, and persistent storage design. Your work will focus on developing scalable Identity Platform services that are foundational to the company's success and ease of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product engineering and internal teams to implement wide-spanning Identity use cases across the organization.
  • Maintain a bias for action and deliver high-quality software.
  • Mentor junior engineers and partner with engineering leadership to build a successful team culture.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment, upholding core company values.
  • Ensure software and architecture excellence through quality feedback, risk mitigation, and alignment with technical strategy and business goals.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support services during both core and non-core business hours.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering or related industry experience.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience working with and supporting high QPS platform services running in production.
  • Experience executing on a system-focused roadmap for a major distributed system at scale and leading its phased implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Infrastructure Software Engineering experience.
  • Prior experience with Identity and Authentication concepts such as OAuth, SSO, OIDC, SAML, MFA, and RBAC.
  • Prior experience with Python and GoLang.

Additional Information

This role requires travel to offsites and various other team gatherings, approximately 5-10% of the year (or 2-3 days per quarter).
