Identity Senior Solution Specialist -On-Premises & Hybrid Access

Role Overview

As a Senior Solution Specialist, you will be part of the presales team delivering sales presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on securing complex on-premises environments like SAP, Oracle EBS, and custom web apps. Reporting to the Manager in the Office of the Field CTO (OFCTO) organization, you will serve as a technical expert helping organizations bridge legacy applications to modern identity infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Strategic Customer Engagement

• Lead technical sessions with infrastructure and security leaders to uncover challenges related to aging WAM stacks such as CA Siteminder, PingAccess, and OAM.
• Deliver customized demonstrations and architectural sessions focused on bridging legacy applications to modern identity using Access Gateway technologies.
• Design and execute outcome-focused Proof of Concepts (POCs) for securing header-based applications and complex on-premises ERP systems like SAP and Oracle EBS.
• Maintain a deep technical understanding of identity product lines and underlying protocols.
• Craft engaging solution content to position value across software engineering, operations, product management, and business stakeholders.

Asset Delivery & Technical Leadership

• Create and maintain reusable demonstration systems, diagrams, documentation, and templates for proofs of concept.
• Develop A.I.-based delivery and enablement functionality.
• Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with the Global Office of Field CTO to deliver field insights and validate customer needs for Product and Engineering teams.
• Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, and technical sessions at industry and customer events.

Field Enablement & Market Influence

• Contribute to frameworks, tools, and content to support Solutions Engineering execution.
• Partner with sales leadership to address critical business opportunities and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Represent the organization as a thought leader in the identity and security space, influencing industry standards and participating in technical advisory boards.
• Advocate for customer-driven innovation and market trends to influence product strategy.

Requirements

Legacy WAM & Hybrid Identity Mastery

• Expert-level understanding of legacy access tools such as CA Siteminder, Oracle Access Manager (OAM), and PingAccess.
• Proficiency in managing identity synchronization and access between on-premises environments (Active Directory, LDAP) and the cloud.
• Mastery of Kerberos, header-based authentication, and bridging these to modern protocols like OIDC and SAML.

On-Premises Application Integration

• Hands-on experience securing and integrating enterprise suites such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and PeopleSoft.
• Strong understanding of reverse proxies, load balancers, and Access Gateway deployment models.
• Solid grasp of network infrastructure, including SSL/TLS termination, certificate management, and on-premises network security.

Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR)

• Thorough understanding of modern identity attack vectors, including phishing, token theft, MFA bypass techniques, and lateral movement.
• Strong understanding of IAM roles within AWS, Azure, and GCP and how they contribute to the attack surface.
• Proficiency in designing solutions that integrate identity platforms with SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and SOAR tools.

General Qualifications

• Strong communication and presentation skills with experience contributing to technical events.
• Travel expectation: up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
• This is a remote position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for managing gateway configurations or security integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Professional certifications such as CIDPRO, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM.
