Identity & Access Management (IAM) Apprentice

at Man Group

Role Overview

Man Group is a global alternative investment management firm with investment strategies spanning public and private markets across major asset classes. The firm is headquartered in London, manages $227.6 billion as of December 31, 2025, and operates across multiple offices globally.

Join Man Group's Identity and Access Management (IAM) team as an Apprentice. IAM sits within the broader Information Security function and is responsible for making sure the right people have the right access to the right systems at the right time.

This entry-level role is designed for someone curious about technology, security, and how a global financial services business works behind the scenes. Reporting to the IAM team, the apprentice will learn on the job while studying the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship. No prior technical knowledge is required; full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

Access Operations

  • Help process day-to-day system access requests through tickets, following team processes to ensure requests are handled accurately and on time.
  • Assist with Joiner, Mover, and Leaver activities, including setting up access for new starters, updating access when people change roles, and removing access when people leave the firm.
  • Help the team run regular access reviews where managers confirm that staff still need the access they have, including preparing materials, chasing responses, and tracking outcomes.

Team Support

  • Help manage the team's inbox, ticket queue, and Slack channel by answering straightforward questions and escalating more complex requests to senior colleagues.
  • Support audits by gathering information about access controls and contributing to team documentation and guides.
  • Work alongside experienced IAM analysts on team projects and improvement work, gaining exposure to how identity and access management operates in a financial services firm.
