Role Overview

As the Director of Product Management for Identity, you will lead the strategy and execution of systems governing identity integration, platform, and access management. You will own the identity infrastructure and platform that enables secure agentic operation, developer workflows, and machine-to-machine access across complex enterprise environments. This role defines how identities—including human, non-human (NHI), and agents—are governed at scale, covering integrations, provisioning, policy enforcement, and authentication/authorization architectures through the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Product Identity & Strategy

  • Define the long-term strategy for identity motion across humans, agents, and machines.
  • Own capabilities for SAML/OIDC authentication flows, provisioning and deprovisioning, just-in-time provisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Support complex enterprise architectures including agentic workflows, human delegation, multi-tenant organizations, and machine workloads.
  • Improve the resiliency, reliability, and observability of identity integrations.
  • Establish platform standards for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.

Platform Architecture & Governance

  • Partner with Engineering and Design to evolve identity architecture for scalable onboarding, high-volume provisioning (agent swarms), and policy orchestration.
  • Balance flexibility for enterprise customization with simplicity in admin configuration and security-first design.
  • Influence multi-product platform integration across password management and extended access management capabilities.
  • Drive product strategy for admin controls, governance frameworks, delegated administration, and audit logs.
  • Ensure identity and access architectures meet compliance expectations for highly regulated industries.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security Architecture, Customer Success, and Sales Engineering on complex enterprise deployments.
  • Influence multi-year roadmap planning for identity and authentication capabilities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers focused on identity infrastructure, scaling, and auditability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Product Management or a related field with increasing leadership scope.
  • 3+ years leading PM teams within enterprise B2B SaaS environments.
  • Deep experience building or owning identity, authentication, or directory-integrated systems.
  • Proven track record of partnering with engineering on platform-level architecture decisions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise deployments involving complex IdP configurations.
  • Technical proficiency with SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
  • Strong systems thinking with an understanding of how identity architecture impacts activation and retention.
  • Ability to translate complex infrastructure into intuitive administrator experiences.
  • Executive-level communication skills and strong product intuition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust, or security platforms.
  • Familiarity with SCIM provisioning, directory services, and group synchronization.
  • Knowledge of conditional access frameworks, verifiable credentials, or other non-federated identity frameworks.
  • Experience operating in security-conscious or regulated markets.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture decision-making processes.

Success Metrics

  • Reduced friction in enterprise IdP integrations.
  • Measurable increase in successful SCIM and SSO deployments within the first 60 days.
  • Improved reliability and observability of identity infrastructure.
  • Faster enterprise rollouts driven by scalable platform architecture.
  • Clear activation KPIs tied to identity integration milestones.
