Director, Cyber Security Access Management

As a leader in Cyber Security Access Management, you will lead the strategy and delivery of the platforms that protect people, systems, and data, specifically focusing on SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, CyberArk Privileged Access Security, and Akeyless. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on modernizing access management across human and non-human identities, transitioning from manual processes to automated, auditable services.

You will help reduce identity risk while enabling teams to work securely and efficiently across Azure, AWS, GCP, and critical enterprise applications. Your work will strengthen compliance, improve resilience, and support the delivery of life-changing science.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the enterprise access management strategy, ensuring platform roadmaps, policies, and controls align with business priorities and security standards.
• Own and evolve access management capabilities across SailPoint ISC, CyberArk PAS, and Akeyless to reduce risk and improve user experience.
• Lead the development of policies and standards for access requests, automated provisioning, entitlement management, privileged access, service account governance, and secure credential handling.
• Provide senior guidance on cyber risk, compliance, and data privacy, focusing on least privilege, segregation of duties, and secure non-human identity controls.
• Supervise technical build and integration across enterprise and cloud platforms in partnership with global teams.
• Strengthen assurance and control effectiveness while expanding automation and self-service capabilities.
• Establish clear performance metrics, monitor platform health and risk outcomes, and communicate progress to senior stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team while managing budgets, capacity, and delivery priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
• 15+ years of deep experience in enterprise cyber security and access management.
• Strong expertise in defining and implementing cyber security strategies and frameworks, particularly in access provisioning, privileged access management (PAM), service account governance, and cloud credential controls.
• Deep understanding of core principles such as least privilege, segregation of duties, and secure patterns for non-human identities.
• Proven track record of leading strategic transformation in large global organizations, including reducing risks linked to over-entitlement, manual provisioning, and unmanaged service accounts.
• Experience leading complex cyber security programs and operating large-scale platforms such as SailPoint ISC, CyberArk PAS, CyberArk Credential Provider, and Akeyless (or equivalent technologies).
• Experience working in regulated, quality-focused environments and managing global teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to influence across both technical and business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
• Experience partnering with application owners, cloud platform teams, IAM operations, governance, compliance, and audit teams.
