Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III

Walmart InfoSec is hiring a Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III to join the Linux IAM team. This role focuses on building and operating Privileged Access Management (PAM) capabilities across large-scale Linux environments.

You’ll help secure privileged identities, enforce least-privilege access, and automate access controls across enterprise systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise PAM solutions
• Manage the full lifecycle of privileged accounts (provisioning, rotation, monitoring, deprovisioning)
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and access controls across Linux systems
• Automate privileged access workflows and account management
• Partner with InfoSec, platform, and application teams to integrate PAM controls
• Enforce least-privilege access using RBAC and risk-based controls
• Lead incident response for privileged account misuse or security events
• Integrate PAM solutions with APIs and enterprise systems
• Troubleshoot and optimize PAM infrastructure

What You’ll Bring

• Strong understanding of IAM fundamentals (authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle)
• Hands-on experience with PAM tools (BeyondTrust, CyberArk, Thycotic/Delinea, Akeyless)
• Experience managing privileged access across Linux and Windows environments
• Knowledge of RBAC and risk-based access models
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Experience with API integrations and automation
• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure (VMs, containers, cloud, DevOps)
• Experience with tools like Splunk or PRTG is a plus
• Comfortable working in large-scale enterprise environments

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field and 2+ years experience OR
• 4+ years of relevant systems/infrastructure engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Security+, CISSP, CCSP, GISF, or GSEC
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA)
• Master’s degree in a related field
