IAM Engineer

IBM Consulting is hiring an Identity and Access Management Engineer to support client delivery through IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers. The role focuses on designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting IAM solutions for public and private sector clients.

The engineer will use IAM product knowledge and client business context to deliver secure identity capabilities, including least-privilege access models, single sign-on, and lifecycle provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Implement IAM solutions tailored to client business needs, including least-privilege and single sign-on capabilities.
• Provide consulting services to analyze and resolve IAM issues.
• Advise clients on IAM product selection, implementation, customization, configuration, and production support.
• Integrate IAM application services with broader enterprise application portfolios.
• Deliver end-to-end user lifecycle provisioning and help improve the client security posture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Exposure to IAM solutions, product suites, and downstream applications.
• In-depth understanding of IAM products, including configuration, customization, and production support.
• Experience with IAM security tools and implementation, integration, and single sign-on solutions.
• Experience analyzing and resolving IAM issues and integrating IAM services with broader application portfolios.
• Experience with end-to-end user lifecycle provisioning and least-privilege access models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Advanced IAM product knowledge across configuration, customization, and production support.
• Experience customizing IAM solutions for client-specific requirements.
• Experience in large, complex, or regulated environments such as government, defense, or critical infrastructure.
• NATO security clearance is a plus, but not a hard requirement.
